The Time
Argentina has a difference of three hours ahead in relation to GMT. During the summer, some provinces adopt the summer time or daylight savings, which adds another hour to the delay on the official time.
Electricity
In our country the electric current is 220 volts and 50 Hz. (Hertz). If you need to use electrical appliances of 110 volts, you can get transformers in specialized shops.
Currency
The legal tender in Argentina is the peso ($).
Tips
As in many other countries, it is frequent in Argentina to leave a tip equivalent to 10%of the amount of the service received in cafes and restaurants. It is also common to tip porters, bellboys, the cleaning staff (janitors) as well as ushers.

Telephone office
Throughout the country there are shops that offer national or international telephone services, you must pay in cash the amount of the phone calls. Some also offer fax services, Internet access and booths for people who suffer from hearing loss.
Opening Hours
Banks and exchange houses: From Monday to Friday, between 10.00 a.m. and 03.00 p.m.
Commercial offices: generally from 09.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. and from 02.00 p.m. to 07.00 p.m.
Shops: in big cities, from 09.00 a.m. to 08.00 p.m.. In small cities shops tend to close at noon. On Saturdays, the working hours are from 09.00 a.m. to 01.00 p.m. The shopping centers and mega-malls are open throughout the whole week, including Saturdays and Sundays, open from 10.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m.
Local Cafes, tearooms and snack bars: they are almost always open, with a pause between two and six in the morning.
Restaurants: Lunch is served from 12.00 pm. and dinner from 08.00 pm. However, many fast food bars offer snacks at anytime.

Airports
